The joys of  my new cordless drill .... built several raised beds at the bottom of the plot in an area where the ground is not so good.  Another 4 to build over the next few weeks.

Planted out in seed pots beetroots, leeks, Pak choi, sweetcorn, tomatoes, carrots and left some at the plot and some are now sitting in our warm sunny lounge!

Can't avoid more digging but that will have to be next weekend.

Planted the second early and maincrop potatoes, planted out the broad beans started off in the greenhouse, and the last of the garlic --- found another head in the bottom of the plot trug

Dug up the wild plum tree that had grwon from the decimated apricot, cleared out all the rooted strawberry runners in the bark paths and pruned all the roses

Moved the evergreen onions as that bed now has potatoes in it

Took two visits -- had to come home for Mothers' Day lunch  :D :D

Planted a few rows of Red Rooster. The trenches were manured and fed with FB&B - they best appreciate it. Moved the strawberry runners in to their new bed, growing through a weed membrane.

Pleased to see all ten new raspberry canes coming to life and happy that I followed the planting advice on here.

Filled a few seed trays of sprouting broccoli, calabrese and sprouts and popped them in to the little cold frame I made a few weeks ago.

Continued raking the newly constructed raised beds and gave the inside of shed door an undercoat of paint.

Planted my onion sets. Finally got around to moving my shed that was put up temporarily when I got my allotment at the beginning of the year. Called of allotment early to put up a flat pack wardrobe- only took two of us, two hours! Wasn't in the mood to go back to allotment! :)

Not today or yesterday, last weekend actually (not been on line for a couple of weeks).

Planted my onion sets Red baron, Sturon and Stutgart Giant.

Also hoe'd and raked the 2 prepared beds and mulched around 2 of the the fruit trees.

Put some Maris peer in pots and sorted out the seedlings in the green house, and had a nice wander round and checked on my recently planted fruit bushes.  :D

Moved the asparagus seedlings, baby garlic and potato onions from the spare room to the greenhouse.

Potted up some leggy waterlogged cabbage, some tomatoes and some of OH flowers.

Planted more seeds.. Chillies and Anchocha for my son who loves them hot stuff.. and some beef steak tomatoes, leeks, cape gooseberries and lettuce !! Spare room AKA germinating room...

Oh... and more flower seeds for OH and some marigolds to companion plant with my potatoes to hopefully chase the slugs..
