I've got my allotment free until April

I called into the town council today to tell them which half of the allotment I wanted and the woman there said that as it is so overgrown there would be no charge for it.

I start paying on 1 April 2009. £15 a year which I think is very reasonable as even though it is only half an allotment it is still really big.

brilliant, we pay 20 quid for half a plot and another 3 for the allotment society. great that its free for a bit too, every little helps.
