i think its the slowest start ever, apart from stuff sown in the greenhouse,i'm looking at boxes of spuds and trays of onions and shallots buts this weather is so hit and miss at the moment, the moment it drys out it pees down again   maybe next week

Hard to believe now but this time last year we were complaining about the lack of water and how hard it was to do anything coz it was so dry!  Never satisfied are we?!!

I'm 2 weeks behind last year already and next week doesn't look too promising either.

Just planted my courgette, squash, cuc and bean seeds yesterday but they're all going in the polytunnel anyway.

Outside:early spuds in, shallots coming on well, onions just starting to shoot after the cold weather. Beetroot seedlings/peas/lettuce bravely holding up in cloches.

Inside:Leeks and lettuce just sown various beans in seed trays in conservatory. Sweetcorn chitting in plastic container in airing cupboard.

Very erratic weather though so fingers crossed with everything!!  :)

Cheers HH
Keep digging

How do you space your potatoes to fit that many into an allotment? Or do you have a farm...

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
