I have a lot of potatoes with insect holes, so I'm trying to use them up quickly. I noted a tip about semi-frying them and placing them in a freezer for use later on as chips. We don't have a chip frying pan here. Could I just fry them slightly in an ordinary pan (we do have a wok) and pop them into the freezer?

i bought a huge bag of spuds here and they were c**p so i made up bags of mash and wedgies with the skins on and have used straight from the freezer and they were great.
if you do wedgies try cajun spice on them its yummy.

Yes.  Deep enough in oil as if you were making chips

It's actually potato wedges. They're like chips, but cut on a slant so that one side goes to a point. The cross section looks like a triangle rather than a square, if that makes sense!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?
