I was talking to an elderly and very experienced gardener the other day.  Chatting about tomatoes, I asked him how he always had such a good yield.   He replied,  Use two growbags, one on top of the other, and cut through the top bag equally to the bottom bag, just fairly small squares.  Then more support for the canes, and the roots will grow down into both bags.   He then showed me it in a fairly old gardening book.  Originally, he filled sacks, to do this.    Good old Norman,  He is 95 and gardens and walks more than I do.   So this year I am going to try this method.       Mrs Bouquet

Yes I’ve seen advice to do that, just goes to show there’s just not enough growing medium in a standard growbags. The other way is to slit the bag half way on just the top surface, then to fold it at that point, & stand it up a bit like a saddle bag without the horse lol, then plant 1 plant into each half, can plant deep that way too.  Also tomato halo’s help, I’ve just taken delivery of another 36 for my tunnel plants, really helps with the watering. Got them for £2.70 each, which is cheap.

You can just use a normal bag of multipurpose.
