calabrese has outgrown the nets

First time growing anythin - my calabrese has taken off much faster than I expected so they are now pushing up against the enviromesh covers.  I thought an 2ft  high cover    over hoops would be fine and see me thru the summer.  Not so.  I have some more enviromesh but not enough to replace the cover in one piece.
Question :  is there any way to join the enviromesh and increase the height of the covers?  The hoops are blue water pipes.
