I also found a more disposable version of this (mainly cardboard). It  feels like a lot of effort for a few tomatoes though - especially as we cannot guarantee sun

Tried this for the first time yesterday they are delic, half didn't even make it into the jar and I have a recipe for pasta with chicken and sundried tomatoe which is on the menu for tonights dinner!!!!

My kilner jar is only about half full.  If I do another batch tonight can I add them to this jar or should I take what is in it at the moment out and re sterilise the jar?

I was never one for cooking/preserving but since I got the Lottie and started on this site I have tried jams, pickles and now drying - my OH can't believe that I am starting to become a domestic goddess - mind you I don't think my new found interest is going to extend to housework

I can't see any problem adding more toms as long as you ensure they are fully covered with the oil.  Glad you enjoyed them you domestic goddess
