My new variety is Costoluto Florentino on the recommendation of this forum.

As I already grow Stupice, Galina, Black Krim, Honeycomb, Sweet Million, Tigrella, Orange Banana (not grown for a few years and giving another chance) , Grushovka & Latah, Crimson Crush and primabella I don't have a huge capacity for new varieties!

I have been given a couple of Marmandes today so need to add that to my list

Sorry, I don't know anything about the copper mesh, but it seems worth a try - nothing ventured nothing gained
