I have 3 rows of parsnips in, 1 either side & 1 between the turnips you can see poking through in the pic.



I know parsnips take an age to germinate and grow so could I use this space alongside them to grow something quicker without taking away the goodness in the soil they will need?

I hate wasting space coz I'm quickly gonna be using it up!!

I think you are allright with now as you have turnips. and I would wait for the parsnips to germinate first to see whats coming never sowed one but heard that they are pain germinating and you might lose plot very soon if you are cramming up

As the seeds are already sown, I would personally not now try to sow anything else.

I have put parsnip and spring onion seeds in the same trench - the latter between the spaced out former - so there was no risk of one growing over the other or disturbing it on harvest.

Ha ha i have good contacts through work and have a free supply of old (& sometimes new!) fencing timber, which is nice!

You could grow some radish or Tom Thumb lettuce in between the rows but it wouldn't leave much room for walking and picking.
