Get going on that lovely bit of ground m'dear and next year you'll have so much fun :)

As for the lack of toilet facilities/shed - get a 2 or 3 darleks for your very important compost and build a fortress out of them with a bucket to pee in :D

I can manage without a wee, but....no SHED  it's my den, my hidey hole, my junk store, my retreat.  Where are you meant to keep your stuff?

Before I got my shed I used to use the plastic dalek and plastic dust bin to store my fork spade and other tools in

I like the dalek fortress & tool storage ideas.  Theres a communal shed you can store tools in but it's a way from me. The bit behind the JA's where the nettles are looks to be enclosed with a small gate so might do something there when I can get in there!

got half plot myself last year and no spare room for shed so agree that you have to def "go before you go!"
Good luck clearing site. Took me a year and a half! I have just one last bit to dig over.  :)
Followed advice from this site and didnt panic. Just dug a bit at a time and covered the rest until ready.
So glad wasnt put off by weeds when first looked at lotty.
You are right about losing time there. I can be there for hours! Sense of achievment and pleasure with each cleared patch is great though  :)

I've had mine just over 11 months and still have just over a 1/4 to dig... working on having it 100% by March / April 2014 ready for starting to plant again in May - It's worth doing a diary on here so that when you think your not making progress you can look at what you have actually done.
