Yayeeee!!
« on: October 02, 2013, 19:52 »
I got a half plot in the site that I wanted after being told earlier in the year that I wasn't even able to go on the waiting list!  I then went on to no.3 on the list & collected my keys last week  :D
Had to wait until yesterday before being allowed to go though but have spent 90 mins with my 2yr old yesterday & an hour by myself today. I swear you can lose hours there!  Hoping my before pic is small enough to upload!

It's about the width of the Jerusalem artichokes at the back, & behind that...

Are 8ft nettles & a diseased looking apple tree

That is good news!  (I quite like JA's -lovely windbreak  :D ) -you'll be surprised how fast it can be put straight.

Do you still live where you were before?  I'll drop some by next time I pass by x

Thanks pigguns, I've made quite a start already although the amount of carpet is scary! Wood we can put on the communal bonfire site but no skip facilities & (gulp) no toilet facilities! What do the ladies do in these situations?
Ooh thanks, I am indeed still there although we've just put it on the market, woohoo.  Will take awhile to move though :) x

I'm happy for you Mum, especially that it looks good, whatever overgrown it is, it's fertile. 8)

Do not worry about the JA, they are very good for you. ;) There is a recipe for all things that makes them at least edible for most.

Keep us up-to-date, it looks a good garden. I'd be very happy to boss it all over...

'What do ladies do'?
Well, you'll need a small shed I guess (I got mine on ebay for £5- go for 'buy it now' and 'recently added'), and a bucket.  Best get one without a hole in it ....
