Hi all,

I have a good few sungold and maskotka plants outside already, they're still small and not doing too much yet. I'm wondering how they will get on with the cooler nights we've had forecast this week? There's no fruit yet but the leaves on some are curling a bit which I think is due to temperature variations. All I've read online is about how fruit and pollen will suffer, since they're not an issue just yet, will there be any damage?

As long as there isn't an actual frost they should manage ok, do you have any fleece (even old net curtains, at a push) that you can cover them with, to make sure..

for small plants this year I did this trick. Used the Morrissons flower buckets. put them upside down over the plants and weighted with stone on top. next morning I removed it. it was far easier than the fleece cover.
