I treated it like I would a broken leg and gave it a splint, wrapped it up firmly, made sure I took the strain off it as it grew and fruited with strategic supports and hoped for the best. It worked a treat and It needed to, as I'd given away the other plant.

You could try Preloved or Pets4homes to see if anyone has older girls to retire. You do sometimes also see people re-homing ex-bats, who are younger but have a fairly short lifespan once their laying days are over. It might be worth getting 2 so if you lose another you are not in the same boat again.
