What to feed salad bed
« on: June 04, 2009, 20:32 »
In my table top raised bed I have small round carrots, Rocket, Red and Cos lettuce, Herbs, Spinach, Courgettes, Cucumbers and french beans. The lettuce hasn't really grown at all in the last 2 weeks.

The question is, do I feed the whole bed with Growmore pellets or will watering with seaweed be better ?

Thanks.

Seaweed or other foiliar feed is better. Growmore is good as a base mix before you sow. It needs to be mixed into the soil.

My lettuce didn't seem to be doing much but all of a sudden had a growth spurt

I'm just using a fruit and veg feed  ;)
