Sound advice here - thank you!

I can safely pinch out the second lot as they're still scrabbling around at the bottom of the frame, so I may get some sort of compromise!

We have a huge yew tree behind us, and most veg grown in this area get drawn up to get more light. Maybe a Kelvedon type would like the area next year!

It's a great experiment anyway, and passers-by seem to like it so far, even though I'll need a ladder to get a few pods!!
