Feathers
« on: August 31, 2010, 13:20 »
My Pepper is 11 weeks old and Honey is 13 weeks old. Both have been losing a few feathers .I know chickens moult at the end of the year but I thought they were a bit young and its still early.I have been checking their house for mites and have checked them for critters so no it`s not anything external .Poo is fine ,not off their food ,drinking ok.Perhapse I am being a little paranoid and it is just normal .Any suggestions other than get a life?

Hi, chicks shed their feathers at least twice before they get their full adult plumage :)
