i'm getting my chicken coop at the end of the month, whats the best type of chicken for quality eggs, aslo on my allotment i've got dock weeds do i have to get rid of them where i'm putting me chickens...

by quality eggs what do you mean? - do you mean size - this depends on breed and age of hen, colour of shells - this depends on breed, yolk colour - this depends on what they eat, quantity - again this depends on breed some will lay 6 or 7 eggs a day for a couple of years then drop off whilst others will lay 4 or 5 a week for years, most in their second winter onwards will slow down or stop for a few months (which is why it is a good idea to freeze some in October to tied you over)?
