As I'm sure a lot of vegetarians and vegans on here would confirm, you don't actually need to eat any meat, eggs or milk to enjoy a healthy diet.
In fact, the vegetarian is bound to be less at risk of bowel cancer for starters.

It is a matter of choice. Whilst I fully appreciate everybody's right to make that choice please dont suggest that the human race would be  healthier without meat.  :shock:  It is a fact that genetically we are programmed to eat meat. The fact that it is possible to survive without it is immaterial. It is part of the natural cycle of the earth and there is nothing more natural than eating it! There I've had my say now I'll shut up

I'm not a vegetarian - but I do think we eat too much meat. In my 'ideal world' we'd eat a lot less meat but it would come from animals grown in an ethical manner.
