Freezing gooseberries?

Has anyone tried freezing gooseberries? I quite happily freeze strawberries/raspberries and am wondering if you can do the same with gooseberries, I have loads and only four jars left for making jam, just not sure what to do with the surplus

Yes i have frozen i the past and then used for jam when i had enough jars.
