Snowdrops
« on: February 17, 2011, 19:19 »
I appear to have accidentally dug up my single clump (well, clumpette, really) of snowdrops  ::)

Has anyone bought snowdrops in the green and can recommend a reliable supplier?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I've had 2 lots (different suppliers) from e-bay and both came through the winter, so have a look ;)

Got loads, can send you same after they've done flowering.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Hi Can I be cheeky. ;)Have you by any chance enough to send me a few.I'd be very grateful.Last year I redesigned my back garden & I must of forgotten my snowdrops & as you can probably guess they're my favorite flower! ::) I was going to send for some 'in the green'.
P.S Here in Burbage a week on Sunday(27th) there are some gardens open under the yellow book scheme that apparently have wonderful displays.Guess where I'm going?

I'll PM you nearer the time, I intend to split and transplant them again this year.

No more requests please - I'd like to keep some for myself - selfish I know!

Hi

I bought some the other week off ebay, arrived healthy, in bud & I'd say more than 100.

Went straight in the garden & flowered within a few days.

Remember, it was a few weeks ago, so maybe flowered by now.  :)

In green is certainly the time to move them, had great sucess there.

The ones I've got were, however, planted as dried bulbs 34 years ago at another house. We brought them here when we moved as just a few straggly clumps and since then have split them up whilst green after flowering.
