What size did you make them?  We put our first two raised bed in at the beginning of May, but I NEED more  ;)

Our garden is very long, but with two huge apple trees, a pond, 3 sheds and grape vines over the patio, there's not a huge amount of room for veggie beds.  Yours look to be a good size for my garden!

Hi m8...theyre only small at 4' x 3' 6" but i reckon they would be very managble. Theyre actually part of old packing cases that i got from a m8. Theres a topic here on it http://chat.allotment-garden.org/index.php?topic=36134.0 but ignore the size i put as that was before i measured them. If you read through the topic theyre actually for sale but i think its in new zealand.

These are also known as 'pallet collars'. I use them for my beds too. You can take out a corner pin and then join two up together to make a double sized bed. They also come in varying heights. Any factory/plant type business that uses pallets for stacking stock onto will use these collars! Try ringing a few work yards up and asking if they have any spare or damaged collars - most likely they will be more than happy for you to take them for free. :)
