would be interested to hear from other members what percentage of cockerels to pullets they hatched this year as i  have more males than females. but it seems to only be in my pekin large fowl (indian game) have been more pullets. i know it sounds silly but can weather have affect on sex of chick as it does hatching rate.

I hatched in the incubator 13 boys 21 girls over 2 hatches of Araucanas this year- cant tell with the most recent hatch yet, and have no idea with the quail!

I'd have to check with my records for accurate numbers, but I've hatched approximately 70 this year, and about 50 were cockerels!

I've hatched mainly cockerels - which is why I decided to give the whole egg incubation thing up. I can't stand culling any more chicks.

Couldn't tell you with the orpingtons as I've no idea what sexes my remaining 3 are.
