peigon muck
« on: April 28, 2009, 21:12 »
Hi guys

One of my alltoments has had 30 years worth of peigon muck thrown all over it and turned over.  I am just wondering is it save to plant things on the ground or is peigon droppings bad for the soil and us?

Count yourself lucky.  It is an excellent soil improver.  Full of loads of goodies that will benefit your plants.  I use it to speed up the decomposition of my home made compost and it works a treat.

The bloke next to me swears by it, he keeps "flying rats" himself and I've never seen him add anything to his soil other than the odd fork full from the loft - you should see his onions !!!  :D
