But lovely to see the winter supplies stocking up  :)  Made red onion marmalade, pickled beetroots, grape jelly and had the dehydrator going in the last couple of days  :)

Keep going girls, we'll get to the end of that harvest in the end   ;)

More tomatoes, beans -purple and runner, cabbage and courgettes, but at least the latter are slowing down now. Phew!

Can't face doing anything with them tonight - it's much too hot, so I've squashed them all in the fridge and shut the door quickly
I had to be quick and careful when I took the milk out for my coffee  ::)

The veg prepping knives and chopping board have been in and out of the washing up all day.

The dehydrator was on last night and today.  The last lot has just gone in to do overnight.

The freezer has been told in no uncertain terms it can fit more tomato sauce in and more was somehow shoved in.

The fridge is .................... empty     but I didn't go to the plot and pick anything today, so we all know what that means tomorrow  ::)

A vat of skinned chopped tomatoes are in the garage fridge ready to turn into bottled sauce on Monday. The basil is poised to leap in, and the onions all ready to be chopped. I have made a new wooden trivet out of strips of left over bits in the garage to stand the jars on in the big water pan, so hopefully all will be well.

Three whole drawers in the freezer are filled with frozen fruit -- black berries, logan berries, black & red currants and raspberries. Dehydrator is on my Winterval list  ;). Apples are in the fridge, onions are in their box trays.

I love this time in the year  :D :D

Going to attempt blackberry curd next week too  :D :D

Just when I thought I was almost ahead of all my processing, I found this article that turns tomato skins into tomato powder  :(

ARTICLE

Looks like my next batch of tomatoes will get skinned and then dehydrated for powder.

That's a really interesting read Trillium.  Thanks   :D

I've only made a few veg powders.  Mushroom from punnets of mushrooms reduced to 25p was my biggest triumph and brilliant for adding to all sorts of stuff.  Tomato would be really useful and its all free from stuff I would normally throw in the compost bin  :)

New Shoot - that mushroom powder sounds excellent - can you give me the details of how to do it? much obliged!
small, Welsh and almost certainly bonkers, but can be tamed with Talisker, if required
