First Year Rhubarb
« on: May 02, 2013, 20:13 »
Evening all,

I planted some crowns last autumn from the garden centre and they are doing really well.

Can I pick this year, or best leave alone?
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

I wouldn't, not in the first year. I heared you shouldn't consider harvesting any, and even then only a little, until the second year.

So, is it best just to let the plant grow and feed occasionally?

Anything else I should be doing?
