I use old tins to bake cakes, lined of course, the small qu.... st..... tins make lovely Christmas/ fruit cakes if you want to give them away. The heart shaped one would make nice sponge cake if greased well.

My next door but one neighbour, on the plot, has tied them to his fence so that the wind blows them.  They bang on the fence and then the noise frightens the birds and rabbits away.

 I needed a way of keeping newly hatched chicks warm, so i drilled/cut a hole or two in the base of a Quality street  tin and fitted a batten type light fitting and   hanging basket chains at the edge so I had a light fitting that hung on chains and of course the tin gets warm and radiates heat so i have a cheap effective incubator
