Anyone else having trouble finding it? Local garden centre seems to be having trouble getting any.

One lives in hope of not having to pay postage of course  :) But if needs must, might have to do so.

Are you really sure it's worth the cost? I find it so blah tasting for what you pay and the space it takes.

I was going to ask the very same question, Trill.

I grew it once.

'nuff said.

May as well grow a couple more leeks, it's a closer relative than to true garlic & leeks have more flavour.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Ah but I grows for the local family too and they have requested elephant garlic (easier than the banana tree the son-in-law wants). I quite like a little of it too.

Luckily someone has give me some so no further problem. It was the postage that seemed to be the killer and I'd given up on local garden centre.

this is from the Mammoth Onion site:
Elephant Garlic
The name describes the size, very large. Has a sweeter taste than the tradional garlic. Matures July - August.
5 large planting cloves £11.50 inc p&p
Price: £11.50

I hope this helps you.

no problem
i am five months into owning an allotment, so I've never bought garlic and wouldn't know what a good price for them is.
I am hoping to get discount at Mammoth Onion as I know the family!!
