Unwell Hollyhock

Homebase were selling these off dirt cheap so I picked a few up in the hope that this is nothing too serious but any advice on what it may be would be greafully received before I plant it out.

yep it looks like rust to me, but dont worry its common in hollyhock's - your best chance of getting rid of it is by using a fungicide spray 

It's so common I'm not sure I've ever seen a hollyhock without rust!
