Do six week old chicks pass caecal poos?

I think so, mine are 8 and 9 weeks old now and they do.

How red is the poo?  I had some chicks which got coccidiosis, goodness knows how.  They were in a brooder shed with no other chooks around them, unless I trod something in on my boot, although I tried not to go in there much.

Joyfull was round mine and she noticed them eating something and when we looked it was bright red.  I got some coxoid, but I lost several of them in a couple of days, so keep an eye on them!

Thanks Granny. The poos look the same as caecal ones from hens, orange as opposed to red.
The chicks  have  been vaccinated against coccidiosis and I have some Coxoid in just in case.
