Tiny Shiny Black Beetles
« on: June 26, 2022, 10:28 »
We seem to be inundated with tiny, shiny, black beetles.  They are attracted to my pumpkin flowers and anything else brightly coloured.  Anyone else have these little pesky critters?  Do they stay all summer?  Thank you, for any info you can tell me.

They could be pollen beetles, which are either shiny black, brown or green.

Google "RHS pollen beetles" the RHS has an article on them, with pictures.

They are mostly on your flowers to eat pollen. They can be important pollinators.
