I suspect so.... Chickens ate them,  :tongue2: lucky I saved the other 3 pots! they are (was) Lilies

The one at the top might be alright as they flower from the top don't they? I know how you feel though... I was planting tree lily bulbs last year - I turned round and the dog had eaten 3 of them, the size of onions they were! Rushed him to the vet as wasn't sure if they were poisonous or not (sorry, went off on a bit of a tangent there  :blush: ).

Yea I was thinking they were poison as well, I will be throwing the eggs away just in case, no point in risking it just for an egg

As long as the bulb itself wasn't ripped apart, the lily will still grow.

To repair itself this year, it will put out only a few leaves for feeding, no flower, but should recover by next year. Suggest you give them a nice compost/rotted manure mulch but don't let it touch the stems at all, and water.

Perhaps next year, a stick in each corner and some poultry netting to stop nibbling?

I was getting rid of the chicken anyway (see the link) you think they done it out of spite??  :D
