Hi, if people were thinking how they can raise money for their allotment society, have a think about what we have done on our site. Three years ago we got in touch with a local Nurseryman and had a May Bedding plant sale and raised £350

Well today we had our third Spring Bedding Plant sale and we raised £1,750, each year our sales have risen and its relatively easy money. Last year we bought a brand new Rotavator and this year we intend to buy some beehives with the money raised today.

That sounds a fantastic amount. Well done! You must have seen a fair few hundred people 'through the door' today. Is your site next door to a retail Park/supermarket or something?

Well done fatbelly!   I've been toying with the idea of selling 'surplus' bedding plants, tomatoes etc for our society but didn't know how to go about it.

DO you need a traders licence or anything similar?  What about trading standards? do they get involved?
