hello munty I have just been given a greenhouse the frame is old but sound and before i put the glass in I wanted to paint it ,its aluminium so wondered what to use . I would of used hammerite but I know how much you love that ,so could you make a suggestion please about preparation and what you would use. Hopefully I wanted something along the lines of a olive green ,thanks munty I will be gratefull for your comments  phil[/IMG]

Have just asked 'his highandmightyness'.....he's washing-up at the mo!!!!
He say's he would'nt bother painting it himself....paint does'nt adhere too well to aluminium. You would have to prepare it very well with wirewool....by the time you've done that it should look really good as it is.....but if you really want it coloured, then use ordinary metal paint (not hammerite!)      

p.s......you could also try spray paint but that is very expensive.
