more raspberry confusion.
« on: June 14, 2012, 07:17 »
Last autumn I was given some mystery raspberry canes,I cut them down and planted the crowns. Now they are sprouting up new canes and fruit is appearing on the new canes.....does that mean autumn or summer fruiting?....obviously this will affect later pruning.....Thanks.

It means they are autumn fruiting --- any canes growing now from summer cultivars will not fruit iuntil next year
