i have 3 gooseberrys bushes and that is more than enough i give loads away and leave the rest for the black birds

I have planted 2 and was wondering if I should buy some more but if you have enough to give away and leave for the birds then I should be okay with what I have.  I shall look at the other fruit bushes available.

Just been to tesco and they've already got cheap gardening stuff. Some of it cheaper than Lidl and member of staff at our B&Q said they are also going to reduce a lot of their garden stuff.

Ooh I want some of those £2.99 covered tunnels. Nearest lidl is a good 40 mins away though... not sure I can be arsed to spend Sat morning in car.

My Aldi fruit bushes are doing ok. Since potting up about 10 days ago at least half have grown shoots. Need to get their space ready on plot soon...

They've actually got quite a lot of stuff in and for sale already - I've just bought a kneeler/stool thingy for a fiver, and a pruning saw for three quid.  Oh, and a 5m plastic hoopy tunnel cloche thingy for three squids too.  Wanted the £3.99 black plastic fencing for Oscar's patch, but they hadn't got that out yet, so will go back tomorrow!

Just got back from Lidl with my growbags, a bag full of shopping and biscuits for my colleagues.

Just been in and bought 3 gooseberry, 3 blackcurrant, & 3 redcurrant bushes!  Look nice and healthy too... so I'll be digging at the weekend.... (I also have a bush of each of these established and a few of each rooting from cuttings at home!)

Give it all a year or two and things should be prolific... I hope!
