I have bought some chicken supplies today (for those just in case moments...... best to be prepared).

Got some poultry spice, for if or when the hens need a bit of a pick me up.

Does anyone have any recommendations of how frequent it should be used?  Do I sprinkle on the food as a preventative method or should I save it for the 'as and when'?  And if so, for how long a period.

I have just done a search on the forum, but couldnt find anything on frequency (although did find some amusing threads from earlier on in the year). 

 
Also got some ACV so will be putting this in the water on weekends as suggested by others.

I use poultry spice once a week, I find it easier to mix it with the food then they should all get some.

I also use ACV   but dont put too much in or they wont drink it - prefering to find a puddle instead.

Hold on a minute... I thought poultry spice was what you put on chicken when you cook it!  Is this something else?

Hi dont think you will find anything on "frequency" as it only needs to be given when needed.  When I do, I use 2 teaspoons for around 10 chickens added to their feed or I give the same dose in mixed corn with a teaspoon of cod liver oil.
