[Pony Girl]

My two year old favorelle has recently developed what looks like a scab on the top of her beak. Previously it looked like an area of darker pigment.

Could this be dry pox and if so what should I do? Is it too late to get the others vaccinated against it? The other two are brown ranger hens.

Thanks, jhub. I'll try and do it over the weekend if I get a chance.

It doesn't look like these photos though - her wattles and comb are normal, it's just looks like a black sort of scab on her beak.

Could it be a comb injury and just dried blood?  They often try to get at food through mesh and cut the comb where it joins the beak.

It could be, she's a bit of a clumsy bird! Don't think her feathery headgear helps much with her spacial awareness! 

Will keep an eye and try and get a photo.
