I've had stew on a slow blip all afternoon and the house smells lovely. I used beef dripping from the Christmas roast to start the veg, which were plot onion, garlic and various root veg. Add some home dried herbs - lovage, savoury and thyme, plus some stock and a bag of diced beef from the freezer and off we went
I've put some away in the fridge for another night and have a pan full ready to re-heat and add some dumplings into. OH is pacing the kitchen already
So what's everyone having for New Year ??
Not sure yet. It is going to be a New Years Eve dinner, rather than the day itself, so a roast may not be do-able. Curry sounds like a likely option
