... due to a miscommunication my summer fruiting raspberry canes have all been trimmed to ground level ...  :shock:

How many years will I have to wait for fruit?  If I root cuttings and I'm successful, how many years before those fruit?

If I plant new canes, you guessed it, how long before they fruit??

Don't worry, they will grow this spring and you will almost certainly get some fruit off the new growth. The following year you will get loads. Just mulch them with some rotted manure over the winter.
(I cut all mine down when I first took over the plot and they've been fine.)
