I have been working hard in my front garden as the OH pointed out the lottie was weed free and the front garden a jungle.  To ensure I kept going OH kept bring out bottles of beer.  I now feel I have had a few and I know after dinner (with a few glasses of wine) I need to water.  I walk to the lottie so no car involved but are there bye laws saying using a watering can under the influence is not allowed?
Time waits for no man and I can't wait for growth.

I hope not Nilsatis,
I lent a neighbouring plot holder my rotovator and he came to the plot with a case of strongbow for me this morning.
Good thing was he told me he'd had them in the fridge all night and were ready to drink.
Thing is it was only 9.40 am. I put them in cold water but couldn't hold off any longer than midday (well it is Sunday) :)
By the time I got through all my watering (with a few drink breaks) I believe I may have been a bit tipsy, although it could have been the sun
I'm banned for being obnoxious (not pompous as you might have thought)

I often water my weeds, sorry veg, when four sheets to the wind, actualy will probably do so in a min. Its the one thing you realy cant mess up when tipsy.
I generaly just stick things in the ground green side up.

Just make sure that you water the plants, not the weeds or flagstones :D

The ratio is one part water to the plant to 6 parts beer for yourself when watering

The hot weather came as something of a surprise after all this wait but i am now a full time gardener when not at work and when not at work in hot weather that means opening a cold one! or two

When I imbibe in a drink or four I water a lot!!!
It all depends what you put into the ground, to what you get out
