As this topic is entitled 'help please' I'd thought I'd put this here rather than start a new topic.

Every week my work throws out loads of shredded paper  I was wondering if it could be used as bedding for chickens? or maybe mixed or used under straw etc. Or any other practical allotment/chicken use!!

Work won't recycle shredded confidential stuff, but I've managed to convince them that chickens won't be able to read it, unless of course I provide them with sticky tape

I know quite a few people who use shredded paper.  Change it frequently as it gets wet quicker (and gives your chooks less time to tape it together).
