Can anyone tell me how long strawberry seeds take to germinate.

Two weeks ago I planted two different kinds of alpine strawberries and put them in a propagator but nothing has appeared yet, have I lost them?

I have never grown this type of strawberry before but thought I would try them this year.

I sowed a packet of strawberry seeds (13) on a south facing window sill. They were all up in about 10 days, only one failed when the leaves ddn't break out of the seed. Air was probably a bit dry as I removed the propogator cover to stop them getting leggy.

Sowed a second lot about a week later, about 30% germination. Popped the tray into a heated propogator in the hope it would kick the remainder into life.

sowed mine on my bedroom window sill last year and they were up in about 10 days which is pretty slow for my standards cause i usually have them up in 4 days. only a few came up and over the next 2 weeks more came up... i even got some fruit in my first year they are great plants to grow

OK just being impatient, looked at the propagator this morning and about eight seeds have come up.

Just can't wait I suppose, want to get going but weather is horrible.
