Hurrah for turnips

very p'd off on sunday to find that all of our garlic has succumbed to white rot. as had about half of the white onions. and only 3 parsnips have shown their heads.

but! smile put back on my face when OH pulled up a bunch of lovely pinky small turnips. I couldn't get them to grow last year at all, but this year we're awash with them.

it's good when the lottie gives you some successes to balance out the failures!

Think next year we're going to do garlic in a raised bed full of clean topsoil
