I dont have to go and water anything!! And hopefullyif it carries on for another couple of hours my water butt will be full again :)
some people are like slinkys......they're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face as you push them down the stairs!!

Wouldn’t it be nicer to have had to water the plot  again but now be sitting in the evening sunshine with a glass of chilled wine?

10 days and your wishing for rain??? I would rather carry water the mile to my allotment than have to endure the rain we get here in the valleys. we had 2 weeks of summer a while back but the rest has been pretty rubbish so far.

Infact to add to my above post, my garlic and shallots are rotting in the ground and the only time ive watered them was in those two weeks. (I do have pretty heavy clay soil mind you)

I'd rather water  ::)
Rain just makes it feel depressing, its so grey and it looks like we are in for a good pour down

It's not raining enough here.  Just enough to be gloomy but not enough to water anything properly.  If I'm going to have to water anyway, I much prefer the idea of wine in the sun...

I'm hoping that the weather is better tomorrow as I did a very naughty thing today  :blush:.  I did spend a couple of hours at the plot last night so all ok there.  But I did take a half day from work (sshhhh!  Don't tell Mr Max) with the intention of coming home at 12pm, having a nice lunch, then having a potter in the garden, planting up the last of the bedding plants, potting on some veggies etc.  Instead, after lunch, I decided to 'rest my eyes' set my alarm for the school run and went to sleep 2 hours.  Was lush!  Love an afternoon nap!  I've got some catching up to do tomorrow  :lol: I don't care - I'm as bright as a button!

It's hardly stopped here for the last two weeks ::) Always seems to come down when I've planned to go to the plot.
