Re-Cladding a shed using pallets

Am beginning to think that pallets are the best thing in the world but we have yet to dismantle one    Our inherited shed is homemade and currently clad in the slats from fence panels which are slipping and falling out.  The allotment agreement states that all sheds should be clad in horizontal tongue and groove but I am reading this to mean if a new shed is installed.   I'm sure the council wouldn't want me to buy new timber when I could recycle old now would they ?

Has anybody done this with their shed and if so did you overlap the pallet planks or just lay them flat?  Pics would be good too.
