NEW TO GROWING CUCUMBERS

hi my cucumbers looking good for a first effort just a quick question should I keep taking off the growth points behind a flower or does it not really matter thx.

I remove the growth points and train the plant as a single cordon. It's more about keeping the plants neat and tidy than anything else for me. Left to their own devices I find that they'll scramble all over the greenhouse or tunnel. Your plants look healthy enough so if you've got the room, let them roam free.

hi got lots of growth lower down but I think im going to take some growth points out till it reaches top of greenhouse as it getting a little heavy

I grow Cucino which is quite modest in habit and easier to keep under control. Lovely crunchy cues too  :tongue2:

I am growing these too, for the second year. An amazing crop of small cucumbers and as you say, CQ, easy to  keep under control. Got them in the 50p sale last year too  ;)

i take off all the side shoots and just leave the flowers that are on the main stem, i grow mine up single strings and looks like your doing the same.

all of mine in the past have exhausted themselves when i have left the side shoots to fruit and it gave me a glut, this could just be me of coarse.
