squats going on?

squats going on?

i am just so fed up with waiting for my araucana to lay - she has been squatting for about 3 months now and no signs yet (she must be nearly 50 weeks by now) and 3 of my other pols have also been squatting for a few weeks - is this normal to be squatting for so long with no egg arrivals?

I was in a similar situation with my faverolles, old enough to lay oct/nov. The cockerel treading daily, and today I got their 1st egg  :D :D :D at last.

have you checked to see if she is laying elsewhere? My welsummer Peggy Lee used to lay on the back of a lorry trailer under a tarpauline - took us weeks to find her huge pile of eggs  :lol:
Congrats on your little Fav laying her first egg IMO  :)
