Difficulty Swallowing?

I've been noticing a couple of my ex-batts looking as if they're having a hard time swallowing their mash...but maybe it's normal.

The others just have their heads in the food and peck away, but I noticed a couple put their heads up and move it back and forth as if trying to 'get it down'?  Feel silly asking  :wacko:
