wot colour egg is a barnevelder supposed to lay please, r they supposed to be brown  can you get hybrid barnevelders aswell and if you can would the eggs be still the brown colour as of a pure bred.   nickyx

well i picked up some fertile barnevelder eggs the otherday and i didnt think they were that brown.....?....they are not as brown as i thought they would be thats for sure
happy speckledy girls day also.....dont forget the photos hunny...are you excited?

my barney banties hatched from very pale eggs! contacted the breeder thinking she had sent the wrong eggs!? but they are definately little barnies 
It depends on whether they are utility strains or exhibition as the utility will lay more eggs but they will be paler whereas the exhibition strains will lay lovely dark eggs but alot less of them! also i believe that as the season progresses the eggs get lighter too!?

thanks sarah, im still trying to make sure it isnt my barnie that has started to lay, i have been posting that cassie my black rock had stopped laying for a few days, an egg appeared yesterday that looked to be the same as cassies, cassie lays the pale egg so has to be cassie, thanks anyway sarah.      Nickyx
