Hi all

Our girls have just started a 10 day course of baytrill as two still have the odd sneeze and sniffle after their bout of myco. They were on tylan before but the vet who I am really impressed with wants to knock it on the head fully(until the next time!)
They finished tylan at weekend and started baytrill today so just wondered if their is something we can give them eg yoghurt to help the good bacteria?

After any antibiotics you should give a multi vitamin, I do this with my cage birds (canaries) to give them a bit of a pick me up,

Mine are on a course of antibiotics at the moment.  Could you tell me what mutlivitiamin you use?  Thank you

I never use an mult vit after antibiotics but I do use Avipro Plus which is a probiotic for birds - this helps restore the bodies natural good bacteria (antibiotics can have the same effect on birds that they do on humans and flush the good and the bad bacteria out of the gut  ).

I use BSP multi vit off Ebay water soluble , my birds get probiotics every week and multi vit every two weeks, Mike
